An original oil pastel painting by Lori Brunner from Love Letter to La Jolla, a series inspired by the life, light and visual language of Southern California.

Points of View—Sage explores perspective through shape, color and repetition. Familiar forms are abstracted and reimagined, creating a composition that reveals itself gradually and invites the viewer to look again.

The muted sage palette gives this work a quieter presence than its companions in the series. Earthy and understated, the color recalls the softer side of the Southern California landscape—the natural tones, changing light and sun-faded surfaces that become part of one's visual memory of a place.

The title, Points of View, speaks to the idea of seeing the familiar differently. Forms shift depending on how they are considered, and repetition creates relationships that might otherwise go unnoticed. It is an idea that runs through Lori's work as both an artist and designer: how we see can be as important as what we see.

Created in oil pastel, the painting retains the immediacy of the artist's hand. Texture, variation and subtle imperfections soften the graphic composition, giving the work an expressive and tactile quality.

Points of View—Sage is one of three original works in the Points of View series, alongside Points of View—Teal and Points of View—Orange. Each is an original work and may be collected individually.

Together, the three paintings create a larger conversation of color, repetition and shifting perspective. Displayed as a series, their shared visual language becomes more pronounced while each retains its own distinct character.
